WIAA Officials Registration Is Now Open

We are excited to announce that registration for WIAA Officials is now available for the 2024-25 sport seasons! Follow the two simple steps below to maintain your license for the upcoming year.

Step 1 - Register

Please login to the Officials Center using your existing official's credentials before renewing your license so that you retain your previous licensing history.

Step 2 - Complete Background Check (if needed check your email)

You are due to complete a background check at this time using InCheck, our background check service company. You will not be able to be relicensed for the 2024-25 school year if this is not completed.

IMPORTANT - Background Checks

At their April 2013 meeting, the WIAA Board of Control approved the implementation of background checks for all WIAA-licensed officials beginning with the 2013-14 school year. These background checks need to be completed every five years.

Why register months before you are actually going to officiate?

Official's licenses are active from August 1 - July 31, each year. The WIAA encourages you to register in months of Many, June and July for all sports that will be played next school year!

Why?

"It's May, and my current license doesn't expire until the end of July! Why should I be licensing now?"
